Dunedin Casino Cookie Policy

1. Introduction

This cookie policy applies to the website of Dunedin Casino, operated by Dunedin Casinos Limited, located at 118 High Street, Dunedin, New Zealand. The official website is grandcasino.co.nz.

The policy describes what cookies are, which types of cookies are used on the website, for what purposes they are used, and the options available to visitors for managing cookies. This cookie policy should be read together with the Privacy Policy, which sets out the broader framework for collecting and handling personal information through the website and related services.

By continuing to use the website, a visitor acknowledges that cookies may be placed on the relevant device in accordance with this policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a device when a website is visited. They are used to support the correct functioning of websites, improve performance, and provide information to website operators. Cookies may be placed directly by the website visited (first-party cookies) or by third-party services integrated into that website (third-party cookies).

Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access information stored on a device beyond the data placed by the website or service that created the cookie.

3. Types of Cookies Used

The following categories of cookies are used on the website:

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required for the website to operate. They enable core functions such as page navigation, secure access to restricted areas, and session management. Disabling these cookies may cause parts of the website to stop functioning properly.

3.2 Performance and Analytics Cookies

Performance and analytics cookies collect information about how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited most often and whether error messages are encountered. The information is aggregated and is not used to identify individual users. The data is used to review and improve the structure, performance, and usability of the website.

3.3 Functionality Cookies

Functionality cookies allow the website to remember choices made by a visitor, such as language preferences or previously entered information, in order to provide a more consistent experience across sessions. Information collected through these cookies may be anonymised and is not used to track browsing activity on other websites.

3.4 Third-Party Cookies

Some pages of the website may include content, applications, or tools provided by third parties. These third parties may set their own cookies, which are subject to their respective privacy and cookie policies. Dunedin Casinos Limited does not control the placement or subsequent use of third-party cookies. Visitors should review the applicable third-party policies for further information.

4. Purposes of Cookie Use

Cookies are used on the website for the following purposes:

• To ensure the website loads and operates correctly across different browsers and devices
• To maintain session continuity during a visit
• To collect anonymised statistical data on website usage for internal review
• To remember visitor preferences where applicable
• To support the security and integrity of the website

Cookies are not used to collect personal information for marketing purposes, and data obtained through cookies is not sold to third parties. This is consistent with the Privacy Policy, which confirms that Dunedin Casino does not sell personal information to companies or organisations for marketing purposes.

5. Cookie Retention

The period for which a cookie remains on a device depends on its type and function.

Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when the browser is closed.

Persistent cookies remain on a device for a defined period or until manually deleted. The specific retention period for each cookie is determined by its purpose and the requirements of the service it supports.

6. Managing and Disabling Cookies

Visitors can manage cookie settings through the browser used to access the website. Most browsers allow users to:

• View cookies stored on the device
• Delete existing cookies
• Block cookies from specific websites
• Block all third-party cookies
• Receive a notification before a cookie is stored

Instructions for managing cookies differ between browsers. Visitors should refer to the help or support documentation for the relevant browser in order to adjust cookie settings.

Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the website and may limit access to specific features or pages.

A separate on-site cookie consent management tool is not currently operated. Visitors who do not wish to accept cookies should adjust their browser settings before accessing the website or discontinue use of the website.

7. Relationship to the Privacy Policy
